Worldspan to provide detailed air travel information
to benefit business travelers
San Jose, CA – July 11, 2002. Worldspan and FlyteComm, the leading business travel focused solutions provider, today announced a partnership to improve the quality of information available to business travelers. This partnership fills in a critical component of FlyteComm’s FlyteSource technology. Worldspan’s data opens up business travel focused applications to a wider and more accurate level of information than ever before. Through this agreement, Worldspan will send rich travel content to FlyteComm using industry standard XML. Up-to-the-minute cancellation, availability, status, schedule data, gate and delay information complements FlyteComm’s existing travel knowledge base. The synergy ultimately benefits the next generation of applications and tools focused on the needs of the business traveler.

FlyteComm’s data backbone is built using FlyteSource technology, an engine that collects, combines and redistributes accurate and detailed travel information via XML. Existing feeds include the real time telemetry from the FAA, weather data from Meteorlogix, and advance schedule information from Innovata.
The new Worldspan-enhanced FlyteSource features cancellation, flight availability, status, schedule updates, gate, delay and more. It is available immediately.
